Mission

SoundWaters PROTECTS Long Island Sound through EDUCATION.

Our goal is a legacy of learning that enables residents to learn about and explore their local environment: the amazing Long Island Sound.

What We Do

Through SoundWaters, students of all ages learn science by doing science.

Annually we teach over 26,000 students. One-third of our students coming from under served backgrounds. Hands-on environmental science programs are offered for students from preschool through college, aboard our eighty-foot schooner and at our Coastal Education Center.
