Mission

We bring TOGETHER volunteers to help and people in need of basic assistance. Shepherd's Heart is a faith-based organization whose mission is to create a network with volunteers, churches, private donors and local businesses in the Taylor area to provide basic assistance with food, clothing and emergency shelter, offering hope and help to all. Since the beginning of our organization in the late 1990's, we have recently added assisting people in East Williamson County with requests for financial assistance with rent and utilities.

What We Do

Our focus is on meeting basic needs, i.e., the purchase of food for distribution to clients in Taylor and surrounding communities. This includes a Homebound ministry with weekly deliveries to the elderly and disabled who are unable to reach the pantry for services. The Thrift Shop provides clothes/housewares in emergency situations and we can help with short-term emergency shelter case-by-case basis. We also assist with paying utilities and rent especially to prevent termination of service and evictions. We partner with school officials to provide food or clothing as needed to students at risk of food insecurity.
