Mission

Shelters to Shutters is a national 501c3 organization that transitions individuals and families out of homelessness to economic self-sufficiency by educating and engaging the real estate industry to provide employment and housing opportunities.

What We Do

First, Shelters to Shutters works directly with apartment companies looking to fill their entry level positions and nonprofit organizations in local communities serving the situationally homeless.

Second, we screen and vet candidates referred to us by our nonprofit partners, much like a referral agency, providing a curated candidate pool of motivated potential employees.

Third, we provide case management to assist participants with their transition to economic self-sufficiency, which includes taking a financial literacy course and professional development. We're setting our participants up for long-term success.
