Mission

Samaritas is one of the longest-serving human services agencies in Michigan, supporting over 13,000 individuals each year through 70 programs in 40 lower peninsula locations. Since 1934, we have walked with those in need, providing support services for foster youth & families, women transitioning out of prison, senior adults, the homeless, people with disabilities and refugees. Through our work with low-income individuals and families across the spectrum of services we provide, we see firsthand the devastating effects of poverty and the cycle of challenges stemming from lack of resources.
