Mission

Saint Joseph Parenting Center (SJPC) is a nonsectarian, nonprofit primary prevention agency that strengthens families at risk of child abuse and neglect through parent education, case management and community resource support. The CDC estimates 1 in 7 children suffers abuse every year. Through our mission to Educate the Parent, Protect the Child, SJPC programs change unhealthy parenting patterns to prevent child abuse and neglect.

What We Do

SJPC programs provide parenting education through a 28 class General Parenting Program (GPP) for moms and dads focused on essential parenting, life skills and job readiness. Our Dads Are the Difference (DAD) Program is a 30 class curriculum designed exclusively for dads that emphasizes the unique and important role of a father, job readiness and Intimate Partner Violence content. In addition to parenting education, our program also provides ongoing parent support through one on one case management and introduction to community resources and advocacy services.
