Mission

Rising Tide Capital is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Jersey City, transforming lives and communities through entrepreneurship.

Our grassroots programs support women, minorities, immigrants, the formerly incarcerated and other traditionally marginalized populations to start and grow successful small businesses.

We achieve this primarily through education, training, technical assistance, providing access to capital & access to markets.

What We Do

Rising Tide Capital offers two sets of services to Northern New Jersey entrepreneurs:

1) The Community Business Academy (CBA) is an intensive course in basic business management and planning, where entrepreneurs gain hands-on familiarity with the fundamental concepts, tools, and skills needed to plan and run a successful business.

2) The Business Acceleration Services (BAS) are a suite of year-round programs designed to assist entrepreneurs in significantly expanding the capacity of their businesses.

Rising Tide also shares its model nationally with partner organizations in 6 other states.
