Mission

RISD Project Open Door's mission is to increase access to high quality arts learning and careers in art and design for Rhode Island's urban core city public high school students and to provide a community education platform for RISD students, faculty, staff and alumni.

What We Do

POD has four core goals:

1. To encourage teens to graduate from high school.

2. Provide teens attending public and charter high schools in Rhode Island's urban core cities with opportunities to develop their artistic skills.

3. Help prepare teens to enroll in post-secondary education by offering guidance on college selection, applications + portfolio preparation.

4. Provide RISD students an authentic learning site that serves as a foundation for professional practices that engage in social justice and community arts endeavors.
