Mission

RILA provides excellent, pro bono immigration legal assistance to the most vulnerable immigrants in the DC area, focusing on asylum-seekers and immigrant children who have experienced significant trauma and loss.

What We Do

Our goals are: (1) to secure legal status for clients who would face persecution or other types of serious harm upon return to their home countries, and (2) to serve as an educational resource to the private bar, schools, churches and other community organizations, equipping and raising awareness regarding the asylum process and other types of humanitarian-based immigration relief.
