Mission

The Lourie Center is a non-profit community-based mental health center founded in 1982 by the late Drs. Reginald S. Lourie, T. Berry Brazelton, Stanley Greenspan, and colleagues as an outgrowth of their 6-year clinical research study of early assessment and treatment of infants and young children funded by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). The Center's mission is to improve the social and emotional health of young children and families through prevention, early intervention, education, training, and research. In 2006, the Center became a member of Adventist HealthCare, Inc. (AHC), a non-profit, faith-based healthcare organization.
