Ragged Wing Ensemble's mission is to rouse the human spirit through artistic action. We practice the art of fierce play, hatching the myths of our time.

The Flight Deck's mission is to provide a home for multidisciplinary artists to present work, share resources and practice radical acts of imagination in the heart of downtown Oakland.

RWE & TFD are two parts of one non-profit organization.

What We Do

Ragged Wing Ensemble creates and produces professional, multidisciplinary theater and art events as well as adult educational programs.

The Flight Deck provides affordable performance, rehearsal, gallery and office space to local community arts groups, hosts a membership program, and offers consulting services to help arts organizations thrive.
