Mission

Mission:

The mission of R&H Recycling is to be a leader in the education about, and the applications of water conservation techniques and practices.

What We Do

Vision:
R&H Recycling will create avenues for conscious communities to preserve their most precious resource, water.

And

R&H Recycling will lead communities in realizing the benefits of water efficient practices within sustainable living, while passing that leadership on to the area youth.

And

R&H Recycling will create tangible spaces for the business community to be celebrated and appreciated for conscious efforts in preserving and conserving the resources they use, within the communities they operate.

Program Areas:
"Earth's Porch" benefits food insecure communities within the greater Birmingham, AL area, specifically the community within walking distance from any Earth's Porch site. Birmingham proper has 99 defined neighborhoods, each one will have an Earth's Porch site. There are health, food security, economic, and employment implications.

"Red Mountain Compost" focuses on engaging local municipalities' public works departments, local universities, farmers, and producers of inert waste. We are on track to open this facility at a municipal Construction & Demolition landfill in October 2020. It will be the first state certified compost facility in Alabama, will physically serve the western portion of the Birmingham area, but will have state-wide ramifications.

"Free The Grease" is a fund-raiser platform for youth auxiliary programs (arts, school sports, church groups), to introduce waste vegetable oil recovery efforts, and spread awareness of this quiet epidemic to the communities the youth individually live and play in.requ
