Mission
Power California (PowerCA) harnesses the energy of young voters of color and their families to create a state that is equitable, inclusive, and just for everyone who calls California home.
What We Do
PowerCA is a statewide multi-racial civic engagement organization made up of 24 local organizations in rural, urban, and suburban communities. We engage and develop the leadership of young people of color to participate in our democracy, hold systems of government accountable, and to ensure our electorate mirrors the rich diversity of California. PowerCA builds the voting power of young people and their families in communities of color and indigenous communities to fully participate in civic decision-making and transform their communities through youth organizing, voter education, and mobilization. PowerCA has registered over 75,000 young voters and engaged over 700,000 young voters in California since 2016 resulting in real political power at the polls.
