Mission

The Endowment puts charitable contributions to work for the people of Martha's Vineyard by making grants that address community priorities, funding scholarships for island students, supporting community initiatives through fiscal sponsorships and other funding options, and building an endowment that will provide resources to enhance and preserve the quality of life on the Vineyard forever.

What We Do

Since 1982, The Endowment has had a special kind of impact on the Island by providing grant funding to over 210 Island nonprofits, as well as over 1,500 scholarship awards to Island-resident students pursuing advancement in both academic and alternative learning paths. Fiscal sponsorships and project funding have expanded our supports to island groups.

At the Permanent Endowment for Martha's Vineyard, our impact has been crafted by our donors and by our board of island residents.
