Mission

Mission: Oye Palaver Hut (OPH) promotes the transformational power of the arts to enhance wellness and inspire imagination, agency, and opportunity. Using storytelling, music, cultural history, and movement, OPH provides performance training, nutrition education, and cultural awareness in the most underserved areas of Washington, DC. Families share experiences, learn about new cultures, and connect arts and history to their families. OPH demonstrates the power of the arts to transform isolated and under-resourced communities with enriching and engaging experiences.
