Mission

Oakland Starting Smart and Strong is a collaborative created so that every Oakland child grows up healthy and engaged in learning. Our overarching goal is to create universal access to high-quality early learning experiences that promote healthy development, so that all kids are ready for kindergarten. We bring together community groups, early childhood educators, city and school district leaders, and people throughout the city who care about creating a strong foundation for our youngest children.
