What We Do

The New York City Association for the Education of Young Children (NYCAEYC) is an organization dedicated to advancing quality early education opportunities from birth to 8 years. We do this by providing resources and professional development opportunities for early childhood professionals of all kinds – teachers, administrators, early education specialists, college and graduate students – in New York City. Our body of work includes a bi-annual newsletter, a full-day professional development conference, a variety of shorter format workshops and panel discussions held throughout the year, and a few fun networking opportunities. We do all of this as a volunteer board who make the commitment to support our own professional growth, as well as the growth of others in addition to meeting our daily responsibilities and jobs.
