What We Do

Neighborhood House is a Saint Paul-based nonprofit organization working alongside low-income families, immigrants, refugees, and other underrepresented individuals as they strive toward safe, stable, rewarding lives. We operate in six different neighborhoods in Saint Paul with two free food markets and six family centers, including four in elementary schools where poverty is high.

We help families stabilize during a crisis with help with basic needs, including food support, housing support, refugee resettlement, and navigating complex systems. Our staff then work with families to help them build skills to build long-term stability. This includes programming in early childhood education; multiple youth programs; and adult education, including English language courses, citizenship tutoring, GED tutoring, and college readiness.

Our staff speak multiple languages and reflect the communities we serve.
