To provide cultural enrichment to the communities that the Metropolitan Atlanta Community Band (MACB) serves.
To provide opportunities for continued music performance and musical growth of our members.
To advocate for music education in public schools.
To provide scholarships to deserving prospective high school graduates.

What We Do

MACB is an adult concert band that performs mostly in the Atlanta area, especially Southwest Atlanta and South Fulton County. MACB is a true community band. It provides a musical outlet for anyone who plays a concert band instrument and can read music--no audition required. It also provides concerts for free at the request of community venues. In addition, MACB allows selected high school students to rehearse and perform with the band. And, as finances permit, MACB bestows college scholarships to deserving graduating seniors. The band firmly believes in the value of and advocates for music education in school.

In 2021, MACB is celebrating 25 years of providing good music to the community!
