Mission
Enriching individuals, building community and connecting our world through the performing arts.
What We Do
Founded in 1974, MAPA has grown from a small after-school youth theatre program to one of Hawaii’s largest performing arts organizations. Over 1.5 million Maui visitors and residents have participated throughout the past four decades as audience members, performers, students, teachers and volunteers. By bringing together people from all walks of life to participate in theatre and dance, we fulfill our mission of “enriching individuals, building community and connecting our world through the performing arts.”
We provide a broad spectrum of performing arts programs for 60,000 participants each year in three program areas: theatre and dance productions, academy classes and camps and school partnerships.
