Mission

We support the self-determination of Wabanaki people through education, truth-telling, restorative justice, and restorative practices in Wabanaki and Maine communities.

We design our structures and processes to be responsive to Wabanaki communities and beneficial to Wabanaki people.

What We Do

We seek to build a broader and stronger community of people who understand the long-term impact of the generational harms done to Indigenous people since first contact and who are committed to transforming the present-day systems that provide advantages to the dominant culture.
Truth-telling is the first necessary step toward healing and change. We know firsthand the restorative power of this process and we have experience creating structures for sharing stories with intention, care, and support.
We support Wabanaki wellbeing through education, by building and celebrating community, reclaiming Wabanaki ways, and protecting the Earth we share
