Establish and increase awareness of breastfeeding support and education in Luzerne County.

What We Do

The Luzerne County Breastfeeding Coalition was organized to establish breastfeeding as a cultural norm in the community by advocating the promotion, protection, and support of breastfeeding. Coalition participants believe that establishing more resources for prenatal and breastfeeding mothers will encourage breastfeeding practices and improve breastfeeding outcomes. The Luzerne County Breastfeeding Coalition is composed of representatives from Northeastern Pennsylvania, including health professionals, community leaders, lactation professionals and committed community members.
