Mission

Literacy Volunteers of Morris County believes that the ability to read, write, comprehend and speak English is essential for personal freedom and the sustainability of a democratic society. Our mission is to provide free instruction to Morris County adults in literacy, English fluency and American culture.

What We Do

For more than 30 years, LVMC has provide adults in Morris County, NJ, free instruction in reading, writing and English as a Second Language. Our more than 300 fully trained volunteer tutors help more than 600 individuals a year improve their lives by improving their basic ability to communicate.
