The Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County’s mission is simple: to fight social injustice through civil legal advocacy for people living in poverty.

We envision a community where everyone has the basic necessities of life.
We envision a community where everyone gets the legal protections they are entitled to. And, in these uncertain times, we reassure people about what’s really the law, answering their questions, giving them excellent legal advice in a safe and confidential setting.
