Mission

LEAP's mission is to develop the strengths and talents of young leaders who create and implement year-round, community-and school-based programming designed to achieve positive academic and social outcomes for children living in high-poverty New Haven neighborhoods. We rely on a multi-tier mentoring model to create an environment where New Haven's African American and Latino young people are welcomed, educated, and encouraged to explore and experience our rich New Haven community, their own cultures, and transformational life opportunities.
