Mission

To create equal opportunities for children with disabilities in Uganda

What We Do

KCDC was created in response to the lack of available services for children with disabilities and their families in western Uganda.

The multi-disciplinary, holistic and community-driven organisation works hard to create equal opportunities and reduce the stigma and discrimination associated with disability.

KCDC offers high quality therapy and rehabilitation services, promotes awareness and education of disability amongst community members, gives technical training to caregivers and clients and economically empowers families and caregivers.

The innovative community outreach programme partners with local government and private health facilities and schools has enabled more than 2,300 children with a wide range of physical, intellectual and communication disabilities to access qualified and specialist therapy and education services that would otherwise be unavailable, unaffordable and unreachable.
