Mission

The Kadimah's mission is celebration of Yiddish language and culture, with a focus on Ashkenazi culture and our Eastern European Jewish heritage with the whole Australian community. All our programs are designed to be accessible to non-Yiddish speakers. We are succeeding in reviving and re-imaginging our wonderful tradition for a new era and a broader and younger demographic.

Culture for us is essential to a healthy individual and to community wellbeing, and a key element of a successful multicultural society.

What We Do

We deliver cultural programs and events from Theatre, to Musical events, eductaion, library services and community socialisation.

Centre of Jewish Artists (COJA)
The Centre of Jewish Artists gives a collective voice to Australian Jewish artists and arts workers. We lead with the knowledge of what it means to be Jewish and the sensitivities of this diversity.
