iFoster provides life-changing resources to the over 3 Million children and youth in foster and kinship care to help them become successful, independent adults.

What We Do

Children and youth in foster care get less than half of what it actually costs to raise them. Children living in kinship care (i.e. with grandma) get less than a quarter. With insufficient resources, their futures are grim - 48% will drop out of high school, 50% will be unemployed, 25% will be incarcerated and less than 3% will ever get their bachelor's degree.

There are over 3 Million children and youth living in foster and kinship care in the United States. iFoster works to get them the resources they need. We partner with Corporate America for discounts and gifts-in-kind, with philanthropy to raise funds, with government agencies and thousands of non-profits to ensure their services are made available to our most vulnerable children and their caregivers. And we make sure the voices of those in child welfare are heard by all.

iFoster is an 18-month old non-profit tech company building an online community and resource portal for child welfare. Our members include every level of child welfare from federal and state departments to thousands of direct service providers, to tens of thousands of caregivers and youth. Collectively, our members support over 1.75 Million children and youth. In our first year, we delivered over $15 Million in savings to help close the economic gap and enabled 3,000 students to gain access to computers. In our second year, we plan on accelerating our impact by enabling 20,000 students to gain computer access, by providing millions more in savings and by helping our members raise their collective voice to reform child welfare.
