Mission

Traveling Notes is the international program of the Hampton Roads Chamber Players. Its mission is to shape fine young musicians with a social conscience and an appreciation for cultural diversity.

What We Do

Traveling Notes strives to bring young musicians from different countries and different socio-economic backgrounds together in an environment of peer-learning, mutual appreciation and social responsibility. By organizing international music festivals and specialized workshops for talented young musicians we integrate high-quality training and unique performance opportunities with cultural enrichment and social awareness.

Since 2007 Traveling Notes has brought young musicians and highly qualified teachers from the United States and abroad together to interact, study, perform and share with fellow music students and instructors from a variety of host countries. To date we have worked with musicians from the US, the Dominican Republic, Peru, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Canada, Great Britain, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Turkey, Armenia, Georgia and Russia.
