Mission

Hamakua Harvest is a 501(c)3 with a mission to promote and advance Hamakua agriculture by supporting local farmers, enriching the region's social fabric, and promoting healthy rural lifestyles for the benefit of Hamakua's communities, economy, and environment.

What We Do

We currently host three major projects at our site: a weekly Farmers' Market on-site that offers
only locally-produced products, a Demonstration Orchard and the accompanying Practical
Agriculture for Hamakua course series, and the "Huli Ka Lima I Lalo" project in partnership with
the Hawaiian Cultural Center of Hamakua. All projects are managed by three part-time staff, six
volunteer board members, and partner organizations.
