Mission

The mission of GBM is to serve people, build community, pursue justice and change systems that impact the poor and marginalized unjustly.

Because people matter, systems matter. Systems are those arrangements of power, politics, culture and place that determine who is in and who is out while also defining, in ways that serve dominant systems; who gets fed and who is fodder.

What We Do

GBM has three components:

Direct Services: providing clothing, food and utility assistance to low-income families - primarily Black and LatinX

Faith In Community: Sustaining interfaith dialogue in the shred pursuit of justice for low income families.

Systems Change: Community organizing that amplifies the voices of low income families while confronting systems that impact the poor unjustly.
