Our mission is to educate, challenge, support, and empower students to ignite their passion for learning in preparation for college, careers, and their roles as stewards of our island and global community.

We are committed to academic rigor through experiential learning and compassionate community in our enriched environment.

What We Do

Gifft Hill School is the only preschool-12th grade on St. John, USVI. After the two Category-5 hurricanes Irma and Maria, Gifft Hill waived tuition for both our current students and any students from other schools that had been damaged or destroyed. Our commitment to education on St. John allowed students to try to return to a sense of normalcy, affording their parents the opportunity to rebuild their lives and island. Now we educate 1 in 3 children on St. John, USVI and 90% of our students receive financial assistance. We are becoming a National Wildlife Federation Eco-school.
