Mission

Since 1981, Friends of the Urban Forest has been fulfilling its mission of promoting a larger, healthier urban forest as part of San Francisco's green infrastructure, through community planting, tree care, education and advocacy. With direct community support and participation, over half of San Francisco's 125,000+ street trees have been planted by our non-profit.

FUF believes that a thriving and sustainable city is built on the principle that when communities come together, we leverage collective strength and become catalysts for lasting impact and change.
