Provide community leadership by developing a variety of health and human development initiatives which advance the community toward self-sufficiency, growth, empowerment, and a better quality of life.

What We Do

FOCUS Hispanic Center for Community Development, Inc. is a multi-service non-profit (501 (c) 3) community-based organization with a 50-year history of service to the community of Greater Newark and Essex County. FOCUS has historically offered a variety of services to the community, from the very young to the elderly: services to seniors, family support, youth development, emergency assistance, adult protective services. It delivers services to the community through two divisions: Human Services and Youth and Family Development, which reflect the importance given to these areas in order to improve the social, economic and educational needs of people served by the organization.
