What We Do

Crittenton Services of Greater Washington (Crittenton) empowers teen girls to overcome obstacles, make positive choices, and achieve their goals through school-based programs in Washington, DC, and Montgomery County, MD.

Through the experiences our programs provide, teen girls become more confident in their ability to succeed; develop invaluable social and emotional skills; learn how to form healthy relationships and how to avoid risky behaviors; become more motivated to learn, succeed in school, and go to college; have access to resources and mental health services; and know more about postsecondary and career options.

For nearly four decades, our results have been life-changing for the more than 9,000 teen girls who stayed in school, avoided pregnancy, graduated from high school, and went on to college and careers.
