Mission

COLab believes robust newsrooms build a stronger sense of community. We work with local newsrooms of all types throughout Colorado, harnessing their collaborative power to better serve their communities.

We lead teams of reporters on stories about crucial and complex issues. We built Amplify Colorado, an online database that connects journalists to members of underrepresented communities and community members to journalists. We help teach newsrooms how to increase revenue and cut costs through better outreach, promotion and technology, and work with technologists, researchers, college students and others to find and deploy resources that will help reinvent local news.
