Mission

Our mission is to reinvent higher education for today's adult learners. We will lead changes by generating and sustaining innovative, personalized, and relevant college programs that work in tandem with the community. We will continually innovate techniques and test learning tools both online and on the ground. The lessons learned through our practice and research will disrupt higher education and give us added leverage to impact changes in public policy.

What We Do

CU serves adult learners who complete degrees through interest-based, workplace-enhanced personal learning plans. CU integrates students’ own purposes and visions for learning with the needs of their workplaces and communities. Students work their plans by engaging with a variety of online resources, courses, and discussions, participating in workplace learning experiences, and designing and completing high-interest projects. Each project has a problem to solve, research to do, people to talk to and solutions to test and revise. The curriculum is relevant to the student, the times, and the economy.
