Mission

Civic Series rejuvenates civic discourse by helping voting-age adults understand and have meaningful conversations about the most important issues of our time. At our free events, attendees learn context and common viewpoints on a topic from nonpartisan experts; ask questions in a judgement-free zone; and build confidence discussing complex current events. Our topics are local, national and global, including US healthcare policy, climate change, blockchain, North Korea, and many others. Different from university lectures and talks run by advocacy groups, our events are designed for busy, working adults seeking help navigating these complicated issues, without being told what to think.
