Mission

CircEsteem's mission is to unite youth across divisions of inequity by fostering self-esteem and mutual respect through the practice and performance of circus arts.

What We Do

This is accomplished by using social circus methodology, an innovative social intervention using circus arts to impact social change. Through collaborative learning and relationship building, youth are guided in how to become active citizens, express their creativity, and realize their potential. CircEsteem's main program site is in Uptown; however, in order to reach more at-risk youth, programming has been expanded into 17 Chicago
