Mission

C2BE's mission is to build a sustainable, more equitable and inclusive living-wage local economy, by developing a cooperating network of worker-owned businesses and increasing the number of worker owners.

Since 2007, C2BE has been working to grow and strengthen cooperative businesses and community-based enterprises including those owned by members of historically under-served communities. This includes business owners looking to exit who can consider selling to their employees. We provide legal, business-planning, marketing, and employee-governance expertise to help business owners, entrepreneurs & community-members create living-wage locally-rooted jobs.
