Mission

The purpose of the IO is to recognize the interrelatedness of all activities within our watershed and to collaboratively work to address issues and problems. The goal is to promote understanding that is vital to maintain and improve the ecological health and beauty of the watershed along with building and maintaining a productive economy and also sustain a healthy social environment for the people of the Cayuga Lake Watershed.

What We Do

The organization is comprised of local government officials who have come together to assess the state of the Cayuga Lake watershed, threats to this watershed, and identify projects that can be undertaken to improve and protect our water quality. Armed with an up to date management plan, municipalities are better able to access funding for water quality projects.
