Mission

The Black Scranton Project (BSP) aims to uplift the creative and cultural spirit in the Scranton area by supporting community artistic and ethnic representation to elevate the core of neighborhood culture. We host a variety of educational programs and art workshops and support and foster creative community outreach through art, education, and cultural initiatives. In addition, BSP hosts recurring community forums on our social media platforms and in the center whenever possible. BSP is also an archive that maintains a growing collection of local artifacts rescued from all corners of the country.
