Black Fiber and Textile Network (bftn) supports the livelihoods and lifeways of Black businesses who use, produce and work with: regenerative fibers, plant dyes, and sustainable or artisanal textiles.

What We Do

We mobilize our people to produce and process in harmony with each other and the earth. We are unearthing, capturing, and reclaiming our value within fiber and textile supply networks. Cultivating reverence for earth-based production, and each other. We are preserving our cultural agency in the agricultural, fiber, textile and fashion industries. Honoring our ancestor's cultural traditions, and uplifting unique visions of the future. We work across the supply network with farmers, manufacturers, designers, and artisans.
