Mission

Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) is the oldest and largest youth mentoring organization in the United States. We serve youth from age 6 into young adulthood in both Community-Based and Site-Based settings. In New York's Capital Region, we have been matching thousands of mentees ("Littles") with mentors ("Bigs") in one-to-one relationships since 1964. About 500 Littles, families, Bigs, and volunteers are part of our local mentoring program annually. Now more than ever, our Bigs are needed to guide, nurture, and defend the potential of each Little, even as they meet virtually or while social distancing.
