Leveraging of AdMed, Inc.'s founder Joan Francy and her team of medical and pharmaceutical experts' 35 years of experience, Understand the Science (https://understandthescience.com) is a new nonprofit that provides trusted, science-based health education accessible to everyone through short, engaging videos and a personalized, AI-powered, online learning experience. Our first vertical: Empowering consumers with knowledge about the dangers of opioid misuse. First geographic region: Philadelphia

Helpful for anyone, our first focus is on school-age children K-12 and young adults, including BIPOC populations disproportionately impacted by opioid addiction and student athletes who are prescribed opioids following a sports injury.
