Mission

The Institute for East African Councils on Higher Education (soon to be African Diaspora College Access Program) is the only 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the United States established to provide college access for immigrant and first-generationimmigrant students of African heritage. For successful college matriculation and persistence, IEA utilizes a culturally sensitive curriculum extending proper guidance, support, and resources during the college application process, while also fostering a strong alumni
community of African college graduates. From 2000-2019, the United States has seen a 246% increase in African immigration according to the Pew research center.
