Alison helped MEND gain a thorough understanding of the community and beneficiaries they serve, and how similar organizations and programs are working.
MEND recently introduced a new mobile food pantry: The Green Bean. This converted school bus will allow MEND to support its food pantry network by collecting and distributing more fresh and healthy food. The number of people served by MEND pantries continues to rise, and many MEND patrons suffer from or are at risk for nutrition-related health issues and may not have regular access to a variety of affordable and nutritious foods.
This project will save us $10,948, allowing us to buy more fresh and healthy food for The Green Bean!
