What did Berkeley Food & Housing Project need?

Elizabeth helped Berkeley Food & Housing Project * A well written annual report that demonstrates leadership in its cause area and a strong connection between its daily activities and mission * An effective summary of the year’s accomplishments, programs, allocation of funds and donations, and public recognition of donors and volunteers * A fundraising and marketing tool to attract new donors and supporters

Why is this project important?

After 40 years in existence, Berkeley Food & Housing Project has established itself as a go-to resource for homeless people in the East Bay Area. However, we have never published an annual report. We would like our inaugural report to highlight the growth of the past 2-3 years.

This project will save us $9,148, allowing us to serve hot meals to 3000 homeless people in our shelters.

I write about and for business. You'll see my bylined articles in trade and association publications. You'll also read case studies, white papers, e-newsletters, blog posts, and other marketing materials I've ghostwritten for businesses and non-profits. No matter the format, I ensure the content is clear, compelling, accurate, and informative.

Unlike other writers, I'm numerate and have even been known to design surveys and run multivariate regressions. Thanks to my education, which spans English, economics, and public policy, and my work experience, which includes four years with the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, I can digest large amounts of data and not only extract the compelling story but also explain it in clear, concise language. I did that when I was a central banker, and I do it now as a writer.

In addition to saving you time because I understand data and business, I turn in content that's clean, lively, and polished. I ensure it meets your organization's objectives and engages your audience. I meet deadlines, and I make working together an enjoyable experience.

Fun Fact

Our Monday through Friday "quarter meal" got its name when we started in the '70s and used to charge clients 25 cents to participate in dinner. Nowadays we do not charge clients, but the name lives on.
