Why is this project important?

We are the first Ronald McDonald House and research shows that we are well-positioned to launch a new legacy giving society (or planned giving program). This new fundraising mechanism will allow the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House to secure our future service for families by providing stability and strength. A vibrant and engaging sub-brand will create a platform for donor/prospect meetings group discussions. The new legacy society should reflect the unique and historic stature of the first Ronald McDonald House yet showcase it to be future-oriented in its appeal.

This project will save us $3,600, allowing us to provide at least 67 nights for a family to have a comfortable room near their child receiving hospital treatment.

As a marketing leader with over 20 years experience, Patti has developed best practice business models, launched new products, and managed high performing teams. Patti is know for her strong brand and marketing experience including development of strategic marketing plans and integrated marketing programs. She has significant experience with cost savings and ROI analysis. Patti has a strong ability to motivate individuals and manage teams. Pattiā€™s brand experience includes Lysol, Resolve, personal care items and New Products work.
In addition to her strong marketing experience, Patti serves on the alumni advisory board for the Cornell Dyson undergraduate business program. She is teaching a marketing at strategy classes at Cornell.
Patti holds an MBA from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management and BS from Cornell.

About Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House

The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House supports families of seriously ill children by creating a community of comfort and hope.

Our programs include two Ronald McDonald Houses, two Ronald McDonald Family Rooms at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia to provide a respite space away from the bedside, and our one week Ronald McDonald Camp for oncology patients and their siblings.

One of our co-founders, Jimmy Murray, was the General Manager for the Philadelphia Eagles when the Eagles went to the Super Bowl in 1981. He is always happy to show kids (and parents) his Super Bowl ring and offer photo-ops if families are interested.
