To advocate and explore the Big History curriculum as a vehicle for promoting public understanding and enthusiasm for science, for recruiting and training STEM professionals, for solving global and regional problems, and for productively debating existential and philosophical questions
What We Do
The One-Day Universe will take place on Saturday, September 21, 2013 in New York City. A cast of distinguished scientists and scholars will present the grand narrative of Big History interspersed with panel discussions, audience interaction and musical interludes, all hosted by celebrity emcees. In all, about 40 speakers from diverse disciplines will take the stage to tell the story of the universe from the Big Bang to the 21st century to an audience of 2,000. The event will be webcast.
